Import transactions must be adjusted with the CBSA whenever there has been a change to the
valuation, tariff treatment or HS classification (including end-use) of the imported goods. TradeAid
Inc.'s qualified personnel will research and prepare refunds, appeals or amends as requested. Our
service includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and researching Legal Notes, HS classifications,
Explanatory Notes, related court cases, valuation regulations, and tariff treatment regulations.
TradeAid Inc. will file these adjustments with Customs and will track their statuses until decisions are
issued. Once the decision has been issued, TradeAid Inc. will forward a copy to you for your records
and will also maintain copies.
TradeAid Inc. can assist in the preparation and submission of drawback refund claims for partial or
complete amounts of Customs duties or taxes assessed on import declarations. From interpreting the
regulations and determining what amounts can be claimed upon successfully on an individual
transaction to helping importers better organize the sometimes voluminous paperwork for efficient
regular filings, the needs of importers vary widely. Our assistance, and the nature of the services
required are determined on a case-by-case basis.

During this seminar, participants will be given an overview of the Canada Border Services Agency's (CBSA) different departments and the role each one of them plays, in effectively managing the import and final delivery process.
